Kashmir : IED defused by forces on on highway near Srinagar
Srinagar, Jan 13 (IBNS) : Security forces on Saturday defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by suspected militants on Srianagr- Baramulla road near Shalteng on the outskirts of Srinagar city, Police said.
According to sources, CRPF troopers of 44 Bn recovered the suspected explosive device from roadside.
Soon after the forces suspended traffic movement on Srinagar-Baramullah road.
On January 6, when Sopore was observing a shutdown, militants detonated an IED, killing four cops on the spot.
