#LokSabhaElection2019: BJP conducts 'Ghar Ghar Chalo Abhiyan' in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, Mar 23 (UNI) The ruling BJP on Saturday conducted 'Ghar-Ghar Chalo Abhiyan,' as part of its nationwide door to door campaign in the wake of the coming Lok Sabha elections in Gandhinagar, a known bastion of the party in the home state of PM Narendra Modi from where party president Amit Shah has been fielded as candidate.

Talking to media persons, Jeetu Vaghani, the state president of the party, who was leading the campaign in rural area of Gandhinagar said that during the campaign pamphlets about the achievements of Modi government and letter of the PM were also being distributed.

'We are also giving stickers with slogan 'Maru Ghar, Bhajapnu Ghar' (My home BJP's home) to people to stick it on their homes,' he said.

He also said that as the party president Amit Shah was contesting the seat he also feel it as his duty to do his bit as a dedicated party worker apart from being the head of the state unit.

Notably, BJP has declared the name of Shah from Gandhinagar as its candidate after its incumbent party MP and patriarch L K Advani who had represented the seat four times reportedly declined to contest election this time around.

Shah is likely to visit Gujarat and Gandhinagar first time on March 28 after being declared party candidate recently. He is also Rajyasabha MP from Gujarat.
