LS Polls: Sumalatha Ambareesh to announce her decision to contest by March 18

Mandya, Karnataka, Mar 11 (UNI) Sumalatha, wife of late Karnataka Minister M H Ambareesh, who is tried in vain to get Congress ticket to contest from her husband's Mandya constituency, will announce on March 18 her final decision to contest or not in the Lok Sabha election.

Speaking to newsmen here on Monday, she said she got moral support in the constituencies besides entire film industry has already extended their support for contesting. Even some of the Congress senior leaders have assured their support even though the Congress party has denied the ticket.

About Minister D K Shivakumar meeting her recently, she said that he has not put any pressure on her has only said that they have to safeguard the collation theory. He suggested contesting from other place and not forced her, however, she will contest from Mandya only.
