Lucknow Metro passenger footfall now crosses 40,000 post unlock 2.0

Lucknow/UNI: Lucknow Metro continues to maintain its fast ridership recovery since reopening of metro services on June 9 last post unlock 2.

The passenger footfall has crossed the 40,000 mark on Tuesday which is the highest ridership figure since resumption of metro services. These ridership recovery numbers are significant because it shows that Lucknow Metro has successfully recovered more than 60% of its average ridership.

Lucknow Metro has resumed its services on all days of the week. Earlier Metro Services were not available on weekends due to Covid protocols directed by the Government. Lucknow Metro has emerged as the first choice of daily commute for the public following all the parameters of sanitization, contactless travel and physical distancing inside metro premises (both stations & inside trains).

Mr Kumar Keshav, MD, UPMRC while expressing his gratitude said, "I’m proud of the Lucknow Metro team for their dedication and commitment in providing a safe, clean, accessible, and convenient passenger service to the people of Lucknow. I also thank the public for showing immense love and faith after the reopening of metro services from June 9."
