Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 8 (UNI): Samast Brahman Samaj Maharashtra, an umbrella body of Brahmin organisations, on Friday resolved to hold a silent march from the Paithan Gate to District collector here on June 4, if the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will not act on his "promise" of accepting the community's demands.

Talking to mediapersons here, the prominent leaders of SBSM alleged that Mr Fadnavis on January 22 assured the delegation, representing SBSM, that a committee will be appointed to look into the demands made by the community.

"However, no official announcement regarding the institution of the committe has been made yet,"added SBSM.

On this ground, the community has decided to hold meetings across Maharashtra to make their voice reverberate to the government and if no administrative action will be initiated post meetings then the silent march will be held.

The demands made by SBSM include setting up of the Bhagwan Parsuram Financial Development Board, provision of free KG to PG education and hostel facilities for Brahmin students, speedy construction of Shiv Smarak proposed to be built in Arabian Sea,and others.
