Maharashtra drought: Train with water relief arrives in Latur

Latur, Apr 12 (IBNS) As the present Maharashtra government is witnessing one of the worst drought in the state's Latur district, special trains with water relief arrived in the affected area on Tuesday morning.

"Train with drinking water arrives at #drought affected Latur early this morning. Distribution to begin soon," Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted.

The drought has compelled many farmers to commit suicide, making it a national emergency.
