Narendra Modi condoles loss of lives in Gujarat mishap

New Delhi, Mar 6 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his grief and extended his condolences on loss of lives due to an accident in Gujarat.

PM said, "My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones due to an accident near Ranghola in Gujarat. The accident was extremely unfortunate and anguishing. May those who have been injured recover at the earliest."

At least 28 people were killed as a truck in which they were travelling  fell off a bridge in Gujarat’s Ranghona village in Bhavnagar district on Tuesday, media reports said.

The passengers belonged to a wedding party.

The incident left 35 others injured.

The vehicle was on its way from Palitana to Botad for the wedding ceremony when the incident occurred.

The vehicle fell off a bridge into dry river bed of Ranghona river.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment. .
