Riyadh, Apr 3 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held delegation-level talks with Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh.

"Examining the full spread of a Strategic Partnership. PM and the King lead delegation levels talks," MEA Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.

Modi earlier also held restricted talks with the King of the Asian nation.

Swarup tweeted: "The warmth of an age-old friendship, the making of a modern p'ship. PM and King Salman hold restricted talks."

He said his interaction with the King was 'great'.

"Great interaction with HM King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. We are committed to stronger India-Saudi Arabia ties," Modi tweeted.

Modi said he discussed issues related to Indian serving sentences in the country for minor offences.

"Took up with His Majesty the cases of Indians who are serving sentences for minor offences," Modi tweeted.

"The Saudi Government has agreed to look at the cases sympathetically & constitute a review mechanism with immediate effect," he said.

Modi arrived in Saudi Arabia after visiting Belgium and the US.
