Narendra Modi, Udhav Thackeray discuss flood situation in Maharashtra

Mumbai,/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray discussed the present flood situation in the different parts of Maharashtra since last couple of days.

According to official press statement, State Chief Minister informed Prime Minister about the ongoing rescue operation being carried out by the state government and the measures being taken.

However, Pime Minister Modi assured that the central government would do its utmost to help the state in rescue and relief work.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and orange alerts for several regions in the state that are set to receive heavy rainfall in the next three days.

The Meteorological Department has issued Orange Alert for Mumbai, Thane, Raigarh, Palghar, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg along with Pune, Kolhapur and Satara districts.
