Neelamani N Raju becomes first woman DG-IGP of Karnataka
Bengaluru, Oct 31 (IBNS): Neelamani N Raju, a 1983 batch of IPS officer, on Tuesday became the first woman Director General and Inspector General of Police of Karnataka, media reports said.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah took the decision of appointing Raju to the post.
Raju will replace Rupak Kumar Dutta, who will retire from the post.
