Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti appreciate Pakistan govt's decision of removing Punjab Information Minister for making anti-Hindu remark

Fayyaz Chohan was removed after is comment triggered controversy.

Omar Abdullah tweeted: "In Pakistan a state minister is sacked for his remarks against Hindus. In India a state Governor isn’t even reprimanded for his public call to boycott & ostracise all Kashmiri muslims. We like to compare ourselves to Pakistan so compare this fact as well."

Mehbooba said: "His comments were repugnant. But at least he got sacked. Here ministers garland lynchers and the more anti - Muslim and communal you are the higher your rise will be in terms of status & power."

The video of the leader making the derogatory remark has gone viral on the social media.

"Bashing someone’s faith should not b a part of any narrative.Tolerance is the first & foremost pillar on which #Pakistan was built," Pakistan's ruling PTI party tweeted from its official handle.

In a video, the former minister was seen referring to Hindus as “cow urine-drinking people”.

The entire video, in which he made the comments against the Hindus, went viral on social media.

He made the comment at a time when relationship between India and Pakistan has touched a new low following the Pulwama attack, which had left over 40 Indian paramilitary personnel martyred, in Kashmir last month.
