OP Sharma suspended for Winter Session for remark against Lamba

New Delhi, Nov 26 (IBNS) BJP lawmaker OP Sharma has been suspended from the Delhi Assembly from the ongoing Winter Session for making sexist remark against AAP legislator Alka Lamba.

The Assembly on Thursday moved a resolution on Sharma’s suspension, reports said.

The Winter Session of the Delhi Assembly ends on Nov 28.

"Delhi Assembly Speaker has taken cognisance of protests against OP Sharma's sexist, anti-women remarks and suspended him for this session," the Aam Aadmi Party tweeted.

"AAP's women MLAs have been protesting against BJP MLA OP Sharma for his sexist remarks, demanding his suspension," it said.
