Our government follows zero tolerance policy towards terrorism: Amit Shah
New Delhi, June 28 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said his government follows 'zero tolerance' policy towards terrorism.
"Narendra Modi-led government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terror and I am sure we will be successful in achieving it with the help of the country's citizens," Shah said in the Parliament.

He raised the issue of Jamaat-e-Islami and said the group was banned during the tenure of PM Narendra Modi-led government.
Stating that law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved,Amit Shah on Friday said the Assembly elections in the northern state will be held in the next six months, media reports said.
Shah said this after tabling a bill in the Lok Sabha for an extension of the Presidential rule in the state.
"The government has worked a lot to uproot terrorism from the state," Shah, who heads the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said.
The Presidential rule was imposed in the state days after the BJP had withdrawn its support from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) resulting in the fall of the government.
The Election Commission in March stated there would be no simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
However, the panchayat elections were held in the state. Speaking about the local body polls, Shah said: "Local body elections were not held in the state for a long time but our government held the elections."
