New Delhi/UNI: The PM CARES Fund Trust will allocate Rs 41.62 crore for establishment of two 250-bedded makeshift COVID-19 hospitals by DRDO at Murshidabad and Kalyani, West Bengal, a statement from the Prime Minister office said here on Wednesday.

For this, certain infrastructural support would also be provided by the State Government and Union Health Ministry, it added.

The setting up of these two dedicated Covid Care hospitals will augment the present strength of health care facilities in these districts of the state to effectively manage the COVID situation.

The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund Trust had also helped in establishing Covid hospitals in Bihar, Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar also.
