PM Modi congratulates Padma Awardees
New Delhi, Mar 28 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated all the Padma Awardees.
The prestigious awards were presented by the Indian President earlier in the day.
Modi took to Twitter to greet the awardees.
"I congratulate all distinguished individuals who have been awarded the various Padma Awards at the ceremony today," he wrote.
The Padma awards were conferred upon 112 noted personalities representing various fields.
The list comprises 10 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 83 Padma Shri awardees. 19 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 10 persons in the category of foreigners, NRIs, PIOs (include one posthumous) and 4 posthumous awardees:
