President Droupadi Murmu to visit Assam on Apr 6

Guwahati/UNI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that President Droupadi Murmu will visit the state for two days, starting April 6.

The CM has reviewed the preparations for the President's visit and tweeted about it, expressing the state's excitement to host her.

As per an official, during her visit, the President is expected to attend the two-day 'Gaj Utsav-2023' at Kaziranga National Park, where she may also go on jeep and elephant safaris.

The event is organized annually at the national park, and this year, it will be jointly hosted by the departments of environment and forests of the central and state governments.
