Prez and PM greet Pakistan on its National Day

New Delhi, Mar 23 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the people Pakistan on their National Day.

President Mukherjee said, "Greetings to Government and people of Pakistan on their National Day."

The President said that he is hopeful of a friendly tie between the neighbouring nation.

"I am of the firm conviction that India-Pakistan cooperation will lead to progress and prosperity in our region," he said.

He also reiterated India's cooperative stance on Pakistan by saying. "India remains committed to peaceful, friendly and cooperative relations with Pakistan."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "Greetings to the people of Pakistan on their National Day."
