Rahul Gandhi attacks 'chowkidar' Narendra Modi over series of leaks

New Delhi, Mar 29 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi seems to be leaving no stone unturned to hurl an attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who asked citizens to make him a "chowkidar" or "watchman" and not a PM before the 2014 General Elections.

Rahul has launched a fresh attack against Modi over several leaks, starting from data to CBSE question papers, in recent times.

In a tweet, Rahul said in Hindi, "How many leaks? Data leak! Aadhaar leak! SSC Exam leak! Election Data leak! CBSE Papers Leak! In everything there is leak, Chowkidar is weak."

The Congress has been vocal against the ruling BJP over the leaks of late.

In one of the recent incidents, the CBSE question papers for Class X Mathematics and Class XII Economics have been leaked.

The central board has decided to hold fresh examinations for the particular two subjects.

The new dates for the examination will be announced within a week, the board said.

The country has been rocked by the data leak news, which surfaced few days ago.

Cambridge Analytica, US President Donald Trump campaign’s data consultant, was accused of siphoning personal data of over 50 million Facebook users to influence the 2016 American election.

The matter came to light after UK's Channel 4 News released a footage obtained via a sting.

Wylie, who testified before members of the British Parliament, named India's oldest political party, Indian National Congress, as one of CA's client.

"They [Cambridge Analytica] worked extensively in India. They have an office in India... I believe their client was Congress but I know that they have done all kinds of projects. I don't remember a national project but I know regionally. India's so big that one state can be as big as Britain. But they do have offices there, they do have staff," Wylie was quoted in media as telling lawmakers under oath.

The election dates for Karnataka were tweeted by Bharatiya Janata Party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya even before the Election Commission had announced them.

Malviya's announcement of the poll date was however proved to be correct though the counting date differed.

The EC has formed a committee to probe the matter.
