New Delhi, Mar 29 (IBNS): After withdrawing tickets with photos of Narendra Modi, the Indian Railways was forced to pull out paper cups for serving tea with the Prime Minister's campaign line, "Main Bhi Chowkidar", printed on them.

The initiative was taken after social media users posted photos of paper cups serving tea with Modi's campaign.

The photos were instantly viral which forced the Indian Railways to withdraw those cups.

According to reports, the contractor has been penalised with Rs. 1 lakh fine.

The cups were used on the Kathgodam Shatabdi Express.

The photos of the tea cup went viral days after the railways was found violating the model code of conduct for issuing tickets with PM Modi's images on them.

One Twitter user Uzair Hasan Rizvi posted a photograph of the cup and tweeted: "Tea being sold in 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' (I am also a watchman) paper cups in Indian Railways. This photo is from Shatabdi Express. Does this violate model code of conduct? @SpokespersonECI."

Another user Abhishek posted: "Such a cheap advertisement by chowkidars which is against the law. Tea cups were served in Shatabdi train. You will do whatever for winning  @BJP4India @narendramodi #Chowkidarssellingchai pic.twitter.com/T3l5Vd4uNH."
