Riyadh, Aug 3 (IBNS):  A Jet Airways Riyadh-Mumbai flight overshot the runway while it was attempting to take off at the Riyadh Airport on Friday, an official said.

All 142 guests and 7 crew members of the 9W523 flight were evacuated safely.

The airlines said the passengers have been accommodated inside the terminal building.

"All 142 guests and 7 crew members aboard the B737-800 aircraft have been safely evacuated with no reported injuries.

Guests have been accommodated inside the terminal building. Our teams present on location are assisting guests in every possible way," Jet Airways said in a statement.

Jet Airways said it is working to make alternate travel arrangements for guests from Riyadh.

"Jet Airways has reported the event to the DGCA and is fully cooperating with all concerned authorities," the airlines said.

"The airline’s operations across the network, including its other services from/to Riyadh, remain unaffected," it said.
