Rule of law is at the foundation of our democratic polity: Vice President Naidu

New Delhi, Mar 9 (IBNS): Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that Rule of law is at the foundation of our democratic polity.

He was interacting with the students of Bharat Institute of Law, Chennai who called on him at his residence, in New Delhi on Friday.

The Vice President said that India’s strong judicial and law enforcement system needs continual strengthening. Professionally sound lawyers and jurists are required to make the system work.

Law colleges therefore, play a crucial role in shaping an India that respects rule of law and effective enforcement of laws inspiring public trust in the legal system of the country.
