Saradha documents recovered from garbage near Kolkata
Kolkata, Apr 4 (IBNS): A huge number of documents, relating to Saradha Group of Companies, were recovered from a vat at Harinavi Maylapota area under Sonarpur Police Station limits in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, officials said on Monday.
According to police reports, locals found those documents of Saradha, including files, cheques, vouchers, forms, receipts and certificates, in the garbage and called the police.
Police from Sonarpur Police Station, however, rushed to the spot and recovered these.
"Locals informed us that a matador dropped few bags, full of documents relating to Saradha Group of Companies, in the vat on Sunday night. We have started search operations to find the matador. These documents will be handed over to the CBI," one senior official of South 24 Parganas district police told IBNS.
