Sathrughan Sinha meets Rahul; expected to join Congress soon
New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI): Amidst speculation of his joining the Congress party, rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday met party president Rahul Gandhi here.
Sources said Sinha was expected to join the party on Thursday but his entry in the party has been delayed due to rift in grand alliance in Bihar over seat sharing.
The sources said that Sinha was likely to join the party later on Thursday or on Friday in the presence of the party president and other senior leaders.
Asked on the issue, AICC media in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said: "You will get the good news very soon."
Speculation of Sinha joining the Congress has been rife after he was dropped for the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, from where he is a sitting MP, by the BJP.
The party has named law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad as its nominee.
