Six people from same family dies in Assam road mishap

Guwahati, Oct 9 (IBNS): Six people of a family, including two women and two children, were killed in a tragic road mishap in Assam's Guwahati on Monday morning.

According to reports, the Alto car in which the family was travelling from lower Assam’s Goalpara district skidded off the National Highway 37 and fell in a deep gorge in the wee hours of Monday.


The incident took place in the Bidyanagar area under Jalukbari police station in Guwahati.


A top police official said that the driver had lost his control over the vehicle.


The deceased persons were identified as Bharat Das, Reena Das, Jyotiraj Das, Shankar Das, Dipamoni Das and Tora Das. all hailing from Simalitola area in Goalpara district.
