Three tourists from WB die in Tawang road mishap

Guwahati, Oct 8 (IBNS): At three people, including two women, died and five others were injured when a tourist vehicle skidded off the road in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang on Saturday, officials said on Sunday.

According to the reports, the incident took place at Klenton area near Tawang at around 2-30 pm on Saturday, when a Tata Sumo carrying a tourist team of West Bengal came from Bumla to Tawang and skidded off  the road.

In the incident three  including two women  died on the spot and five others including the driver were injured critically.

The deceased  were identified as Lipi Bhattacharya, Botuknath Bhattacharya and Shivani Bhattacharya.

Army and Arunachal Pradesh police personnel had evacuated the injured persons from the accident site and admitted them inTawang civil hospital.

Among the injured persons, two have been referred to Tezpur for better treatment.
