Two held for cheating in Mumbai,items worth Rs 11.41 lakh seize

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI): A local court here on Wednesday sent two people,in their mid-thirties,into seven-day police custody on the alleged charge of impersonating as CBI officers and conning people seeking exchange of foreign currencies.

According to the Dindoshi Police,the accused have been identified as Jetharam Mali and Rajkumar Dube,both of whom collectively possessed forex,a four-wheeler and mobile phones.

All these items valuing up to Rs 11.41 lakh have been impounded and a police case has been booked against the duo under the IPC sections pertaining to cheating and impersonation of public servant,said police.
