Uttar Pradesh: BJP leader injured in gun fire in Behraich

Behraich, Mar 6 (UNI) Some unidentified criminals opened fire on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Sundar Chaudhari in Dehat Kotwali area here on Wednesday.

Chaudhary was severely injured in the attack and was rushed to the district hospital.

Superintendent of police Dr Gaurav Grover here said convoy of BJP leader Ram Sundar Chaudhari was attacked when he halted near Sapna flour mill during his way to Shravasti.

Some unidentified criminals opened indiscriminate firing on  Chaudhary in which he was severely injured.

Chaudhary was shot at in back and was rushed to district hospital, SP said, adding that manhunt was launched to nab the unidentified criminals.

Chaudhary was in-charge of Shravasti Lok Sabha constituency.
