Vice President leaves for two-day US visit for World Hindu Congress

New Delhi, Sept 7 (IBNS) : Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu emplaned  on Friday for the United States of America on a two-day visit.

During this visit he will address the 2nd World Hindu Congress being held in Chicago on the occasion of 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Historic Speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in 1893.

The Vice President will arrive Chicago on September 8 and on the same day he will participate in a programme organized by 14 Telugu Associations of the US at the Community Christian Church, Plainfield of Greater Chicago. NRIs from different parts of US are expected to attend this programme.

On September 9 at 10.30 am, the Vice President will meet the Organizers of World Hindu Congress. At 11 am he will meet different leaders from other countries attending this programme. At 12 noon he will address the World Hindu Congress.

On the same day evening, the Vice President will address a programme organised by Indian diaspora.

On September 11, the Vice President will return to India.
