Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu reaching Kolkata today on a 2-day visit

Kolkata, Dec 29 (IBNS): Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu is arriving on a two-day visit to Kolkata in the evening on Friday.

On his arrival, the Vice President will be accorded a reception at the city airport and he will inspect a guard-of- honour.

"Tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 30th December 2017, Shri Naidu will attend the inauguration of 187-years’ celebrations of Calcutta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the oldest chamber of commerce & industry in the country ,  as the chief guest , at a city hotel. He will speak at a seminar on Revitalising Parliamentary Democracy in India to mark the occasion," read a government statement.

Before his departure for Vijaywada in the evening, Shri Naidu will attend the closing ceremony of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin’s Global Health Care Summit at another city hotel.

This is Shri Naidu’s maiden visit to West Bengal after assuming the office of the Vice President of India.
