Mumbai, Jun 7 (IBNS): Hindi film Gulabo Sitabo, which will unite acting legend Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, will hit the big screens on Apr 24, 2020.

The family-comedy film will be directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The script has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Release date finalized... Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana... Shoojit Sircar's quirky family comedy #GulaboSitabo to release on 24 April 2020... Written by Juhi Chaturvedi... Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar."

Bachchan and Khurrana teamed up for the first time in their careers.

Both the actors had earlier worked with Sircar. Khurrana, in fact, made his Bollywood debut with Sircar's Vicky Donor.

Bachchan was seen as an onscreen father of actress Deepika Padukone in Sircar's 2015 film Piku.
