Cannes/IBNS: Actress Chhaya Kadam, who grabbed the eyeballs playing Manju Mai in Kiran Rao directorial film Laapataa Ladies, made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Sharing a post on Instagram, Chhaya narrated how she experienced the 77th Cannes Film Festival, which is presently underway.

For her Cannes appearance, Chhaya opted for traditionals. She donned the saree and nath from her mother while she posed at the French Riviera in Cannes.

Chhaya is in Cannes for the premiere of her Malayalam film All We Imagine As Light, a film directed by Payal Kapadia and the first to compete in the main category of the festival.

In Laapataa Ladies, Chhaya grabbed the audience's attention as Manju Mai, a fiercely independent tea seller on a railway station.

She also gained prominence through her role in Madgaon Express.

In another Instagram post, Chhaya was snapped alongside singing icon AR Rahman.
