Mumbai/IBNS: The trailer of Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi starrer upcoming Hindi film Mimi throws light on a serious topic of surrogacy with a mask of comedy.

In the trailer spanning almost three minutes, Pankaj's character is seen giving a unique offer of surrogacy to onscreen Kriti, to which the latter initially hesitates but later accepts, upon gaining knowledge of the process.

After the biological parents refuse to accept the would-be baby, Kriti gets trapped in the situation with her family questioning the identity of the father of the baby which she carries.

Upon getting pestered by the family, Kriti names Pankaj as the baby's father, leaving her family members in shock.

Mimi is the third film where Kriti shared screen space with Pankaj and the second film where she worked with director Laxman Utekar.

Earlier, Kriti and Pankaj worked in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Utekar directorial Luka Chuppi.
