A fantastically made movie: Virat Kohli tweets praising Ranveer Singh's 83 movie

Mumbai: Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday praised 83 movie and described it as 'fantastic'.

"Couldn't have relived the most iconic moment of Indian cricket history in a better manner. A fantastically made movie which immerses you in the events and the emotion of the world cup in 1983. Splendid performances as well," he tweeted.

Appreciating Ranveer Singh for his performance in the film as former Indian skipper Kapil Dev, Kohli wrote: "@RanveerOfficialwas a different level altogether. Great job everyone!@therealkapildev@kabirkhankk  ."

83 is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language sports film directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Reliance Entertainment and 83 Film Ltd.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev, along with Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree.

The movie theatrically released on Friday.
