Madrid, Apr 9 (Xinhua/UNI) Argentina's national football coach Lionel Scaloni suffered multiple injuries in a car accident and was taken to a nearby hospital in Mallorca Tuesday morning.

The 40-year-old, who took the helm of the Argentine team last November, was knocked over by a car while he was riding a bike near the parking lot of the Agora Portals International School and the Toyota driver was backing his car, sources said.

The driver immediately called for the emergency services and Scaloni has been taken to the nearby Son Espases hospital.
