ATK signs attacking English midfielder Carl Baker

Kolkata, Sept 4 (IBNS): The two time ISL champions ATK announced today the signing of English footballer Carl Paul Baker, who plays as a winger or as an attacking midfielder for Portsmouth.

Having made over 450 professional career appearances in the Football League and The National League in England, Baker will bolster the midfield operations for the new look ATK side for the forthcoming season of Indian Super League 2017.

A product of the Liverpool Academy, Baker is also a prolific scorer, having netted the ball 97 times in his career so far. 

“We welcome Carl Baker to be a part of the ATK family. I am sure his experience of playing top tier leagues in England will help ATK in the forthcoming season of the ISL. We are already on our way to consolidate our team and the coaching staff is making some worthy choices to form a strong side," Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman RP- Sanjiv Goenka Group, Principal Owner, ATK
