Cricketers pay homage to late Australian cricketer Phil Hughes

Sydney, Nov 27 (IBNS): Australian cricketers paid homage to batsman Phil Hughes on this third death anniversary on Monday.

Cricketers posted various messages on social media, remembering the Australian batsman who died  after being struck on the neck by a bouncer while playing Sheffield Shield cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground three years ago.

He was three days short of his 26th birthday when he passed away in the mishap.

Australian skipper Steve Smith remembered him and tweeted: "3 years have passed and I'm still missing you bro #408 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bb-SIqWnjQe/ ."

Former wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist posted: "3 years. RIP Phil Hughes. ."

David Warner, Australia cricketer, said :"We all miss you bro #408 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bb-SCaGHuyv/ ."

Cricketer Glenn Maxwell said, "Big day for @CricketAus to go 1-0 up in the ashes, 3 years on after Phil passed away. Always in our hearts and minds Hughesy. #RIP #408."

Pacer Peter Siddle tweeted: "This time of the year is always the hardest. We will always miss you brazzy! #408 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bb-T0jxHkDL/ ."
