Cristiano Ronaldo wins Fifa best player award

Zurich, Jan 10 (IBNS): Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named 'The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2016' at the Best Fifa Football Awards in Zurich.

Ronaldo in December had won the Ballon d'Or in December.

He tweeted: "Delighted to win The Best FIFA award. Wouldn't be possible without my teammates, coaches and you who support me every day. Thanks everyone!"

United States footballer Carli Lloyd  received the 'The Best FIFA Women’s Player 2016'.

Claudio Ranieri won the 'The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2016' while Silvia Neid clinched the 'The Best FIFA Women’s Coach 2016'.
