First T20I: India win toss, elect to bowl first
Kolkata/IBNS: Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first T20I against West Indies at the iconic Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.
Indian spin bowler Ravi Bishnoi is making debut in the match.
Due to anti-COVID-19 restrictions, all three matches will be played with empty stands.
Though the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) had requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to allow spectators in the stadium, the top body, run by former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, turned down the plea.
Earlier, India whitewashed West Indies in the three-match ODI series.
