Ind-NZ: India lose KL Rahul, lead by 108 runs
Before his dismissal, Rahul played a breezy knock of 38 runs, stitching together an opening partnership of 52 runs with Murali Vijay (14 not out).
By virtue of the partnership, India now lead by 108 runs.
Rahul looked the more dominant of the two Indian batsmen, striking an array of fours before edging one to the slips off Ish Sodhi in the final over of the second session.
Earlier, the session yielded India 5 wickets in a short span of time, allowing them to take a 56 runs lead and bowling out the visitors for 262 runs after a Williamson-Latham partnership denied them any celebration on day two.
Jadeja was the wrecker-in-chief, picking up a fifer, while Ashwin played the perfect foil, ending with four wickets, while the remaining one was picked up by Umesh Yadav.
