Rajkot, Apr 21 (IBNS) David Warner played a heroic knock of unbeaten 74 runs while Shikhar Dhawan (53*) joined him in the party as they helped Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Gujarat Lions by 10 wickets here on Thursday.

Restricting the home side at 135 for the loss of eight wickets, Hyderabad reached 137 runs without losing a wicket with 31 balls to spare.

Warner hit nine boundaries in his knock while Dhawan hammered five boundaries as the duo handled opponent bowlers quite comfortably to reach the target easily at the end.

Gujarat Lions failed to dominate the proceedings for a single moment in the match.

Earlier, riding on Suresh Raina 75 runs, Gujarat had scored 135 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up four wickets for Hyderabad.
