Kolkata to host 10th edition of the Audi quattro Cup India
The fifth leg of India’s most sought after amateur golf series will be held at the imperial Tollygunge Club, Kolkata and will see more than 100 golfers competing towards a slot for the India finals and the coveted trophy.
The 10th edition of Audi quattro Cup also marks completion of Audi’s tenth year in India.
“Audi has been committed to the sport of golf which stands for precision and technique and truly embodies Audi's philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ for more than two and a half decades. The Audi quattro Cup over the last nine years in India has become a great platform for young, successful entrepreneurs and professionals to not only enjoy competitive golf but to also network with each other. 2017 is a milestone year as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Audi quattro Cup in India, which has continued to celebrate growing fascination for the amateur golf sporting events in India. The occasion is especially delightful as Audi completes ten years of operations in India,” said Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India.
The Audi quattro Cup, in association with Tata Housing and Al-Habtoor City, will be played on ‘Team Stableford on Single Peoria Handicap’ format where two players of varying handicaps are randomly drawn to form a team.
The winning team from each of qualifying round earns a spot in the India final.
The Indian leg of Audi quattro Cup held across the length and the breadth of the country sees more than 1400 golfers vying for honors each year.
Globally, an expected number of over 100,000 golfers will be competing in teams of two across more than 800 tournaments in the Audi quattro Cup in 2017.
