Mitrabha wins Gold as Bengal dominates National Sub Junior Chess Championship

New Delhi, Nov 28 (IBNS): 12th Seed FIDE Master Mitrabha Guha of West Bengal shocked 2nd Seed Rathanvel of Tamil Nadu in the final round of National Sub Junior Chess Championship in Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi on Monday.

With this victory,Mitrabha took his tally to 9.5 points in 11 rounds,half a point ahead of  Ergaisi Arjun(Telengana) and  Rajdeep Sarkar(West Bengal).

In another exciting encounter,overnight leader Rajdeep lost to Arjun and had to be contend with the Bronze Medal.

Both Mitrabha and Rajdeep qualifiy for the World Cadet Team Championship 2017.

Mitrabha will also represent India for the World Youth Chess Championship 2017 in Uruguay.
