Wellington, Feb 10 (IBNS): Former skipper MS Dhoni added one more feather to his crown when he became the first Indian player to play 300 T20 International matches during the final encounter against New Zealand.

New Zealand defeated India by four runs in the match to clinch the series 2-1.

But the match assumed significance in the life of Dhoni for adding another feather to his glorious crown.

Congratulating Dhoni, International Cricket Council tweeted: "MS Dhoni is playing his 300th T20 game in Hamilton!  We've witnessed his magic behind the stumps, will we see him shine with the bat today? #NZvIND."

In the match, Dhoni showed his skills when he stumped out Seifert (43) in a lightning pace off Kuldeep Yadav's delivery.

Dhoni, however, failed with the willow and added just 2 runs in the innings.
