Narendra Modi congratulates Karun Nair for 303

New Delhi, Dec 19 (IBNS): Appreciating his triple century, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conrgratulated Indian batsman Karun Nair on Monday.

 "Congratulations on the historic triple century @karun126! We all are delighted & proud of your remarkable feat," Modi tweeted.

Nair, playing his third Test, scored 303 runs in the first innings of India against England in the fifth Test on Monday.

He remained unbeaten at 303 runs.

He played 381 balls, hitting 32 boundaries and four sixes, in his way to 300.

He is the second Indian batsman to score a triple hundred.

India declared at 759/7.

India took 282 runs lead against England.

England had scored 477 runs all out in the first innings.
