Olympics: BAI welcomes Narendra Modi's Task Force initiative

New Delhi, Aug 27 (IBNS): The Badminton Association of India (BAI) on Saturday appreciated and welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move to form task force for the upcoming three Olympics games.


"We are delighted to know about this revolutionary step by honorable PM @narendramodi. Great work," BAI tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced at the meeting of the Council of Minister’s on Friday that Task Force will be set up to prepare a comprehensive action plan for effective participation of Indian sports persons in the next three Olympic games 2020, 2024 and 2028.

The Task Force will prepare overall strategy for sports facility, training, selection procedure and other related matters.

The Task Force will comprise of members who are in house experts as well as those from outside, read a government statement.

The Prime Minister said that the Task Force will be set up over the next few days.
