Kolkata, Sept 14 (IBNS): Quess East Bengal FC on Friday negated news reports which claimed that the club wishes to rope in Mohun Bagan FC coach Shankar Lal Chakraborty.

"QEBFC & Quess has always been clear about the club’s adherence to ethical practices and would like to reserve the right to take strong legal action against those who are spreading such malicious stories," the club said in a statement.

"The news story claims that Quess East Bengal FC Chief Coach Alejandro Menendez is keen to have Chakraborty join the team as his assistant. QEBFC CEO, Mr. Sanjit Sen, would like to clarify that these are concocted stories and fabricated reports, without an iota of truth," it said.

The club said Quess and QEBFC has 'great faith' in Sen and Alejandro as change makers and would like to rest all such false claims to rest.
