Rafael Nadal defeats Juan Martin del Potro to reach Wimbledon semis

London, July 12 (IBNS): Keeping his hope of winning a Wimbledon title, Spanish Tennis star Rafael Nadal on Wednesday defeated Juan Martin del Potro to reach the semi-final of the Wimbledon here.

Nadal's five-set victory over Juan Martin del Potro left him to reach the semi-finals of the grand slam for the first time since 2011.

Nadal defeated his opponent by  7-5 6-7 (7-9) 4-6 6-4 6-4 margin.

Nadal will now face 12-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.

On the other hand, Swiss Tennis star and defending champion Roger Federer has already crashed out off the tournament.

Kevin Anderson defeated the Swiss.
