Rafael Nadal enters round of 16 after defeating Stefano Travaglia
Paris/UNI: Rafael Nadal on Friday entered the round of 16 of the French Open after defeating Italy's Stefano Travaglia, 6-1 6-4 6-0.
Nadal, 34, dropped just five games as he looks to winning a record-extending 13th title.
Nadal next plays 20-year-old American Sebastian Korda, who became the first qualifier to reach the fourth round by beating Spain's Pedro Martinez 6-4 6-3 6-1.
Korda, whose father Petr Korda is a former French Open finalist in 1992, is ranked 213th in the world, and had not won a single tour-level match in three previous attempts before impressive victories over Italian veteran Andreas Seppi and American 21st seed John Isner this year.
