Mumbai: Popular Radio Jockey Malishka Mendonsa and her Red FM team are facing social media criticisms after a video emerged on the internet where they could be seen dancing before Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra during an online interview.

In the video, which has triggered a controversy, Malishka and her team could be seen dancing to Uden Jab Jab Zulfen Teri from the 1957 film Naya Daur while taking the interview of the 23-year-old gold medal winner.

Sharing the video, the RJ tweeted: "Ladiesssss..Yes I got the hard hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing for ;) #udejabjabzulfeinteri and then tell me I did it for all of us #gold #olympics #neerajchopra @RedFMIndia @RedFM_Mumbai."

However, the act did not go down well with netizens

One Rishi Bagree tweeted: "Kind of nonsense our Gold medalist has to go thru !!!"

Supreme Court Advocate Shashank Shekhar Jha said: "Sad to see you guys doing this and even sad is the fact that @RedFMIndia
is allowing you all to do it. I mean, what if the genders were opposite in this case? Had @RedFM_Mumbai allowed that too?"

Netizen Ashutosh Bhat posted: "I don't have anything to do with this but I still want to apologize to @Neeraj_chopra1 for this. "

One Nitika Singh said: "Feeling Sorry for @Neeraj_chopra1 that he has to attend such kind of interviews. Just look at the hashtag. Never before they have shown respect for any players others than Cricketers who are pouring money through IPL & brand endorsement."
