Roger Federer moves up to third spot in the ATP rankings
The new ATP rankings list was released on Monday.
With 6,545 points, Federer is currently standing at the third spot in the list.
However, UK's Andy Murray continued his dominance with 7,750 points and remained the number one player in the world.
Spain's Rafael Nadal is currently placed on the second spot.
Setting new record and touching new parameter, Roger Federer clinched his eighth Wimbledon title here on Sunday.
He became the first player to win the title eight times.
This was his 19th Grand Slam victory.
Federer defeated Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 to win the match and lift the title at the end of the one hour and 41 minutes clash.
Federer won his first Wimbledon title since 2012.
He is the oldest man in the open era to win the title.
